Alexander “Alex” Aristizabal

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our beloved, Alex. He passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Banner University Medical Center. Alex courageously persevered the challenges and complications of an autoimmune disorder for 14 years. Alex graduated from Corona Del Sol High School, and Gateway Community college. He then worked around the valley over the years at different medical facilities as a Radiology Technologist. He also had a small gun buisness, which brought him great joy as it was a hobby to collect guns for him. Alex will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was not a stranger to anyone, and would talk to anyone who would talk back to him, even the 4-legged friends. Alex was born and spent part of his life in Sydney, Australia. He learned to appreciate animals and precious resources around us from an early age, and lived his life helping animals and conserving water and other resources. Alex will be missed by his wife, Crystal R. Aristizabal; daughter, Sable Pevear; parents, Diego Aristizabal and Alicia Aristizabal; Stepmother, Gaby Aristizabal; brother, Andrew Aristizabal; paternal grandparents, Hector and Aura Aristizabal; maternal grandparents, Dante Vila and Alicia G de Vila. Last but certainly not least, Alex’s dogs , Bruno, Zoe and Mr. Bean. He will be missed by all his friends and co-workers that he made over the years. Celebration of Life will be on October 22, 2022, located at A Wise Choice Funeral Services, 9702 E. Apache Trail, Mesa, AZ 85207. Celebration of life will be from 2:00pm-5:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Alex’s GoFundMe to benefit the Arizona Animal Welfare League, which is a no-kill shelter. You can donate at: https://gofund.me/a7565caa

The family would like to show gratitude to Banner University Medical Center, healthcare workers who all had a part in Alex’s care over the years. Not only are we appreciative of the care you provided to Alex, but the care you provided to his family during this difficult time. Thank You.

My deepest sympathy on this great loss. May his loves ones find solace in the sweet memories of the deep devotion and contributions of Alex. I also had the same experience, l understand the grieve and pain of losing a son. I know how incredible your relationship was with your son and I am beyond saddened knowing that he has passed away.
