Anna Jean Stinson Walter, age 72, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her home in Mesa, Arizona after battling Parkinson’s Disease. Anna was born on October 26, 1947, in Morenci, Arizona.
Anna was raised in Franklin, Arizona on her family farm. She graduated from Duncan High School, where she lettered in Tennis and Band. After High School, Anna married her husband David Walter of Lordsburg, New Mexico. When Anna married David, he was enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Through David’s military service, Anna was able to travel the world and have many experiences she never imagined as a girl growing up on her family’s farm.
Anna was first and foremost a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Anna especially loved her role as “Memaw”. She had a vivacious personality, a loving and generous heart, always serving and giving to others. She made friends everywhere she went, some friendships lasting a lifetime. Anna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Serving in various roles in her Ward throughout her life. She particularly love singing in the Church Choir.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David; her daughter, Shawn Blasi, her son Eric Walter and two step daughters, Cindy Wisian and Wanda Crawford; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her brother Vernon Stinson of Safford, Arizona and sister Eva Damron, of York, Arizona.
Due to the circumstances caused by the Corona virus Pandemic visitation and service are being handled privately and by invitation only. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery located at Lordsburg, New Mexico on May 4, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that a donation to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Foundation at www.michaeljfox.org would be an appropriate alternative.

David my prayers are with you and for her at this time. My father had Parkinson’s disease and for him passing was a blessing.
