Carmen was born in Tishomingo county Mississippi on October 31, 1920 to William Joseph McCain & Georgia Ann Kennedy. She was their youngest child of 6 children. She grew up in very hardworking family. During her 8th grade year the family moved and with a sadden heart she wasn’t able to return to school.
Carmen married her first husband David Russell (DR) Pratt Jr. in October 1941. They had 5 children together. After he passed away she married her eternal sweetheart Leonard Hardy Winmill in July 1973. They were only married 5 weeks before he passed away leaving her heartbroken. Carmen met Glen William Saline 2 years later and they married in September 1975. They were happily married for over 20 years until he passed away. Then George Drysdale came into her life and they were married in November 1997 until he passed away a few years later too. In her own words “I was never divorced they all died on me.”
Carmen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved to serve in church in any capacity. She loved her family very much and was always doing things for them. She loved babies and could often be found snuggling and rocking one. She also had quite the green thumb. She and Glen had over an acre of garden and orchard combined at their home in Safford Az. It was full of all kinds of yummy stuff like corn, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, tomatoes, pomegranates, okra, peaches, peanuts, apples, black eyed peas and more! She always had flowerbeds planted everywhere because they brought her such joy. She knew how to sew and enjoyed quilting.
Carmen is survived by her daughters Bobbie Joyce Bollinger (Fred) & Martha Diane DeElena (Pete). She is preceded in death by her three sons Thomas D Pratt, William T Pratt & Jerry L Pratt and also her siblings.
