After an extended battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Cheryl Lynn Carpenter passed away during the night of September 18, 2020. The funeral for Cheryl Carpenter will be private, but a celebration of her life will be all around the country as we cross paths with old friends.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her eldest son, Tobe Jack who passed in 2015, and her parents Oakley & Lenora Price. She is survived by her husband Wesley Carpenter of The Home, son Andrew Carpenter of Oklahoma City, sister Beverly Montgomery of Lynden, Washington, and surrogate family Bill & Laney Daggett, and their sons Will & Brett of Hawley, Minnesota.
Cheryl retired from civil service along with her husband in 2006 and moved to Apache Junction, Arizona to be near Wesley’s brother and enjoy the warm winters. After one summer in the heat, they found refuge in Rexburg, Idaho and later Logan, Utah where they made a great many friends and had twelve great summers.
Cheryl was involved with Phillips University for about twelve years as secretary to the president and stayed until the closing. She was a most pleasant person to work with, having the nickname “Sunshine”.
Inurnment will be at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church at the columbarium in Gold Canyon, Arizona beside her eldest son.

Cheryl was like a ray of sunshine whenever she entered a room. Our sincere condolences. John and Lynette
