On Wednesday, September 1st 2021, Cora Edwards, Loving wife and mother of 3 children, passed away at the age of 68.
Cora was born on February 15th 1953 in Fayetteville, NC to James and Ruth (Strobel) Hart. She graduated from Reid Ross High School in 1971. She was a civilian payroll specialist for most of her career until moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1995. She enjoyed a supervisor position at a local Casino in the Bingo Hall until she retired in early 2006. On December 7th, 1990, she married Robert Edwards and together they traveled through and conquered many challenges.
Cora loved Jesus and her family. She was a true matriarch offering love, wisdom, comfort, and laughs. She enjoyed Soduku puzzles and mahjong. She was always eager to help people in need. You would find her buying groceries or giving a few extra dollars to people as she was lead by God. This gave her great joy. She was a faithful and steady wife and mother. Always doing all she could to preserve and fight for what was best for her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Ruth (Strobel) Hart. She is survived by her husband, Robert Edwards, her children Barry Britt, James Britt and his wife Taylor Britt, and Brandy Machowski and her husband David Machowski, her grandchildren Breeanna, Coralee, Jace, JJ, Brooke, Leia , Tori, Beka, Elisha, & Noah , her Sisters Susan and Peggy.
A small family viewing is being held on Friday September 3rd, 2021 at 1:30 pm at A Wise Choice Cremation & Funeral Services. A burial at National Memorial Cemetery is planned for the Friday September 10th, 2021 at 1:00 pm, in which there will be a small service.
