Cynthia Jean Stewart

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loving friend Cynthia “Cindy” Jean Stewart of Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully on 09/09/22. She was preceded in death by her spouse, John Stewart.

Cindy was the daughter of Aurora (Laura) and Anthony (Tony) SanFelice, was born March 1, 1941 and grew up in Beaver County, Pennsylvania.

Cindy married the love of her life John Stewart in March, 1976. They had so many wonderful memories while living in the countryside of Hanover, PA and enjoyed years together spent riding on his BMW motorcycle throughout the state. They were also very active in their community, church and local SouthSide High School always volunteering with events.

Cindy worked mostly in administration for several places over the years: State of Pennsylvania; Champlin Fighter Museum; Cold Stone Creamery; Servpro of Mesa; and retired after over 10 years with Parker Law Firm in 2017.

Cindy and John both had strong ties to PA, but also enjoyed their later years of life in Mesa, AZ – having spent over 25 years there with family and lots of friends whom they also considered family. Cindy LOVED to cook and John LOVED to eat! They would host many fun family gatherings over the years and they also loved to travel – frequently visiting their daughter Loretta, son-in-law Dave and their beloved grandson, Tanner in Seattle, WA.
Cindy and Loretta made 2 special trips to Italy – those were cherished highlights of her life
Cindy is survived by the following family members:
• Children: Loretta (Dave) Messick, Robert Chalmers
• Niece/Nephew: Caryn Bajo and Donnie (Anne) Hazen
• Sister-in-law Sharon (Gary) Heath and 3 Brothers-in-law: JD, Charles “Chuck” (Dorothy) and Bill (Peggy) Stewart
