David L Brummett II

September 23, 1949 – June 6, 2022

David L Brummett II passed away on June 6, 2022 at home in Coolidge, AZ at the age of 72.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Denise A (Davis) Brummett and three sisters, Delores (Charles) Rothenberger, Marge (Bev) Gambrel, Dorothy (Gerald) Nixon, brother Caleb Mark (Bonnie) Brummett and two step brothers Don and Jeff Calvert.

David was preceded in death by his father, David L Brummett and mother, Erma Calvert, step father Rev. Donald Calvert and brother, Jackie Brummett.

David was the devoted and proud father of his three surviving children, Dawn M (Steve) Shiveley, Kevin D Brummett and Tara L (Jeff) Nagy.  He was the loving grandfather of Justin L (Sara) Shiveley, Katelynn M Shiveley, Mikaela L (Sam) Myers, Jordan M Nagy, and Nathan J Nagy.  He was blessed with three great grandchildren, Aiden and Aria Shiveley and Westlyn Myers.

David was employed forty one years at Bob Evans Farms, sausage division, in Xenia, OH and Hillsdale, MI.  He so much enjoyed the people he worked with and his “Christmas Productions” for company Christmases.  As a boy, he loved horses and his best friend, Bruce Edgecomb, who preceded him n death.  In his adult life he was blessed to have a blood brother, Rick Johannes.

David will be missed as a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.  We will miss and forever remember his smile and sense of humor.  Goodbye Dave, for now.

There will be a Celebration of Life later this year.  Memorial donations will be appreciated to Hospice of the Valley, East Valley Hospice, AZ. And Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
