David Lee Devermann, 66, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on January 21, 2025, in his hometown. Born on October 30, 1958, David lived a life defined by passion, dedication, and a deep love for aviation.
With a lifelong career in the marine and automotive industries, David was known for his expertise, strong work ethic, and willingness to share his knowledge. His enthusiasm for all things mechanical was only rivaled by his fascination with flight, a love that stayed with him throughout his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Betty Devermann, and his brother, Theodore Devermann. He is survived by his devoted wife, Anne Mattausch Devermann; his children, Marjorie (Kyle) Burcham and Darin Devermann; his brother, Donald (Roberta) Devermann; his niece, Joyce Devermann; and his beloved grandchildren, Rae Devermann and Graham Devermann.
A celebration of David’s life will be held Saturday March 22, 2025 from 3 to 6PM at the Deverman residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to an animal welfare organization in his honor.
