Delores Gail Bass

Delores Gail Bass, of Gilbert, Arizona, is happy to inform the world that she has permanently changed her address. She passed away peacefully Wednesday the 1st of September, 2010.
Gail was born on the 17th of November, 1942, in Oakland, California to Wesley Dean Bass and Mary Ethel Smith, both deceased. She was one of eight children. Gail was loved by all who knew her. She was always an example of love and kindness and her first concern was for others and not for herself. Gail radiated a welcoming spirit that drew people to her. She loved nature and enjoyed collecting bird house decorations. Gail had a special connection with animals. She had a beautiful smile and a sparkle in her eyes that filled those who saw it with warmth and affection. Although she was not able to attend church services regularly due to her health, she watched Music and The Spoken Word every Sunday. Gail loved chocolate and dessert, and dreamed of traveling the world sampling fudge. She looked forward to her weekly visits with her chiropractor and random trips to the drugstore. Gail enjoyed playing games on the computer and with her family. She also enjoyed using her label maker which she received as a Christmas gift from her granddaughter. Gail was very organized and as a young mother her kitchen floors were clean enough to not need the three second rule. She was very artistic and skilled in sewing. Gail had a passion for learning, especially about health and nutrition.
Gail is survived by numerous friends and family members including: her two daughters, Cynthia Gail Butler and Cathleen Ann Marks, grandchildren: Melissa Mae Harker, Michael Eric Marks Jr. , Nicole Tamara Marks Engstrom, Dylan Dean Marks, and Madison Ann Marks, all of AZ. She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Kay Bass Bassist of UT, Janis Lynn Bass Crisci of CA, Robert Arthur Bass of NV, Roger Anthony Bass of CA, and Debra Ann Bass Carter_Pope of NV. Gail was preceded in death by her siblings, Phyllis Dean Bass Freitas, and Richard Alan Bass. She is also survived by her loyal pets, Mandy and Lily, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 9 am, Wednesday September 8th, 2010 at 1150 W. Elliot Road, Gilbert, Arizona.

To the family: May the comfort from family and friends strengthen you during this difficult time, and may you find comfort in the words found in the Holy Scriptures: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
