Obituary

Donald Lee Simpson, 90, passed away on November 19, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona.  He was born on April 7, 1924 in Willow Lake, South Dakota.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Karst; his children, Becky Johnson, Niki (Patrick) Moore, Kim (Jeanne) Simpson, Larry Simpson, Twyla (Jim) Knudson; his grandchildren, John Birdsell, Dulcie Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Jorge Andrew Johnson, Jami Phelps, Chelsea Marken, Nichole Parker, Wendy Trujillo, Danelle Jarvis, Liz Schmautz, Jesse Simpson, Taber Simpson and Sammi Simpson.  He is also survived by 12 step-children and a multitude of beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Beulah Lunde Simpson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 1:00 PM at A Wise Choice Desert View Chapel, 9702 East Apache Trail, Mesa, Arizona.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions on Donald’s name be made to Wounded Warriors.

  4. I am so sorry to hear about Don. My condolences to the whole family. Having known him all my life, what a incredible person he was, so kind, so caring, so loving . Will miss that big smile. I am so thankful that He and Maxine stopped by this summer. I love and miss you Don and Beulah.

  5. to all my family, if you knew grandpa well, you would know that he was a very special person. No matter what I’ve done, good or bad, he still loved me 100% and made sure I knew that. He’s the only real father figure I ever had. If I could be even a little bit like him it would make the world a better place. I miss you grandpa and will love you forever. This is hard for me, I dont know what Im gonna do for Thanksgiving and Christmas, they were most memorable with grandpa. I give everyone my condolences.
