Eugene Thomas Pass, 57, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was born on May 12, 1968 to Claude Delton Pass and Evelyn Forbes Pass in Ogden, Utah and was raised in Kaysville, Utah. Throughout his life he built a legacy rooted in family, loyalty, and the simple joys of being outdoors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Jeanne Pass (Burr), and their children, Chelsey Grills (Phill), Misty Rains, and Alix Pass, one granddaughter, and a great granddaughter, who were the pride of his life, 2 brothers-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law and 1 sister-in-law.
He was the kind of father who showed love through time spent together, especially on fishing trips, camping adventures, and days spent riding ATVs and rock hounding with his wife. Those moments weren’t just hobbies to him; they were memories he intentionally created with the people he cared about most. He was a true fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and also loved gardening and always planted one no matter how small.
His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and love that will be cherished forever.
His family would like to especially thank Hospice of the Valley-Lund Home, for the loving care given not only to Gene but to his family in his last days.
