James Howard Snyder

James Howard Snyder, 88, of Ajo, Arizona passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Emerald Groves Assisted Living in Mesa, AZ.

James was born on August 20, 1930 in Grass Creek, Wyoming to Oscar and Dorothy (Cox) Snyder. Jim, as he was well known, worked for Marathon Oil as a Petroleum Engineer in Nebraska and Wyoming prior to his retirement in 1986. He was always there for anyone who needed a ride to town for shopping or doctors’ appointments. He loved photography and had quite a collection of cameras.

Jim is survived by his wife, Margaret Anderson of Ajo, AZ; his daughters, Bonnie Simpson of Beaumont, California and Mary Hershner of Mesa, AZ; his grandchildren, Melissa Williamson of Beaumont, CA, Matt Kraft of Dallas, Texas, Kristina Bentancourt of San Bernardino, CA; and his five great-grandchildren.

Jim was a good man and friend. He took me to the doctor a couple of times and I certainly did I appreciate his kindness. He was also a good friend of Harold Hockett. My prayers for comfort for your families. Sheila Lee
