Janet L. Scribner

Janie L. (Kieffer) Scribner, born June 10, 1951, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2020. Jan was born in Seattle Washington to Anthony and Barbara Kieffer. She led a very happy, active life filled with many family and friends.

Janie attended Blessed Sacrament Church and School, Blanchet High School and Shoreline Community College. She worked in Seattle for many years with the City of Seattle, Airborne Express and owner of a Tavern and Restaurant. Janie completed her working career for the Mesa School district and retired in 2017.

Janie married her husband Jim Scribner 45 years ago, living in Seattle, Lake Connor and Mesa. She will be greatly missed by her husband Jim, their two children Michael Scribner and Renee Scribner, two grandsons; Kyle James Scribner and Josiah Rein Scribner, two sisters, two brothers, five nieces and two nephews. Janie was preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Barbara Kieffer.

Janie lived in Mesa for 20 years and felt fortunate to leave the summer heat for cooler weather in Lake Connor, WA. She loved to cook, tend to her flower and vegetable garden and read. Most of all Janie loved to “do for others.”

The Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday February, 10, 2020 at A Wise Choice Cremation and Funeral Services, 9702 E Apache Trail, Mesa, AZ.

Janie was a wonderful and happy person. She always had that beautiful smile no matter what day it was.
Wishing you and your family strength and peace. We will miss her dearly.

Jim. I remember all the good times we had when we worked the grave yard shift. What a fun time. I’m sorry we were not able to hook up when we realized that we both lived in AZ.
