Jennifer Jo Roedl Sailer was born on Sunday evening April 25, 1971 at Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL, to Marshall Raymond Roedl and Kathy Sue Hayse Roedl (Morey). In just a few days she was welcomed home by her proud big sister, Laura Beth Roedl (Blais).
Jennifer was raised in Morton, IL and attended grade school there until 3rd grade, when her parents moved to Mesa, AZ in 1980. She attended Whittier grade school and Carson Jr. High. She received her GED in 1988.
Jennifer was a funny, sarcastic, quick witted, extremely intelligent woman with an irrepressible bubbly personality. She found humor in the wildest of circumstances and was never at a loss for words. I don’t think she ever met a stranger, and was never boring!
She married Del Sailer on October 19, 1992 in Chandler, AZ. He was the love of her life. She started cleaning houses about this time and had a thriving business for many years. She loved to bake and make candy and was an excellent homemaker. Jennifer and Del welcomed their son, Nicholas Scott, into their lives in June of 1995. He was their joy, and has grown into a fine young man. She was extremely proud of the man he has become. She and Del divorced in 2015, an event that caused her much sorrow.
Jennifer was extremely intelligent and in 2006 she earned an Associate’s degree from Kaplan University as a Paralegal. She seemed to have a great talent for the law and excelled in this field. She worked for DES and the Department of Justice. After leaving the DOJ she worked for Attorney Robert Swan of Phoenix until he closed his office due to health issues. She then continued to work from home doing case discovery preparation and preparing documents, as her health declined.
After years of battles with her health, and many months of setbacks with her health recently, she entered the hospital on May 31, 2020. It was determined at this time that her condition was beyond help. She returned to her mother’s home on Hospice care on Friday, June 12, 2020. She went to sleep that evening and never really woke up, though she was responsive to voice and touch until Sunday evening. She passed peacefully into Gods loving arms on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at about 12:00pm.
She is survived by her son, Nick of Tempe, AZ; her mother, Kathy Morey of Mesa, AZ; sister, Lisa Morey (Rob) of Ahwatukee, AZ; brother, Naythan Morey of Dewey, OK; aunt, Melanie Hayse of Mesa, AZ; uncles, Richard Hayse (Mary) of Washington, IL and Brian Speerly (Gina) of Madisonville, LA; niece, Ashley Blais (Brad Gorman); nephew, Jefffery Blais (Nina); several great nieces and nephews; and former husband, Del Sailer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Roedl (Marie); sister, Laura Beth Blais; grandparents, Benjamin and Margariette Roedl, Marilyn (Hayse) and Steve Speerly, and maternal grandfather, Ralph Hayse.
