John Colby Marin, born April 24, 1985, in New Haven, Connecticut, passed away at his home in San Tan Valley, Arizona, on Sunday, April 5, 2026.
A devoted father, John leaves behind his three beloved daughters—Charlie, 16, Colbie, 10, and Waylynn, 8—who were the center of his world and the source of his greatest pride.
John was a gifted woodworker and craftsman, both by trade and by passion. His hands shaped not only the materials he worked with, but also the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. He approached his craft, and his life, with a rare blend of authenticity, curiosity, and unrestrained enthusiasm. Friends and family will remember him for his vibrant spirit, his genuine warmth, and his ability to find joy in life’s smallest wonders.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on April 24th at 1:00 PM at Boyce Thompson Arboretum, a place that reflects the natural beauty and quiet strength he carried with him.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
