Justin Peter Wojcik

Justin Peter Wojcik, late of Mesa, Arizona; formally of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on December 14, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Justin was born on February 6, 1958, in Bayonne, New Jersey. He received a degree in accounting from Monmouth University and then went on to earn his MBA from Seton Hall University. After that, he worked in various roles as an accountant. Justin was a beloved member of the Elks Lodge in Fairfield, New Jersey from 1986 to 2000 where he served as President for a number of those years. He was a dedicated leader and helped the Elks Lodge grow and prosper.

Justin loved his family and though not a big talker, he was always ready with a funny one-liner. Justin was happiest on the beach, working on his tan. His favorite beach to visit was Seaside Park in Ocean County, New Jersey, where growing up he would spend time at his family’s

shore house. Keeping that tradition, he continued spending time there, bringing his three daughters and teaching them how to body surf. An avid football fan, Justin loved the New York Giants and had season tickets to the games. Later in life, he found a passion for cooking, especially crockpot meals. He was able to master his mother’s pierogi recipe and would hold an annual pierogi making day with his daughters, cooking pierogis with assembly line-like efficiency. Justin also enjoyed skiing and shared this joy with his daughters, taking them to Vermont to ski, and chaperoning the Fairfield town weekly Friday night ski trips. Justin was proud of his children and grandchildren and was glad to be able to move closer to his grandchildren for the last six months of his life.

Justin is survived by his daughters, Marissa (Mark) West, Alexis Wojcik, and Shannon Wojcik; his grandchildren, Connor West and Nadema West; his brothers, John Wojcik and Jeffrey (Susan) Wojcik; and his sister, Jane Kneebone; as well as many nieces and nephews. Justin was preceded in death by his father, Aloysius Wojcik; and his mother, Virginia Wojcik. A celebration of life will be held for Justin in Seaside Park in the coming year.
