Mark W. Lupo passed away on July 5, 2026, at the age of 58. Born in Yonkers, NY. Raised his family in Stamford, CT and retired in Mesa, AZ. He passed after a dignified battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Mark grew up in a large Italian household, lots of family gatherings and stories. Those early years shaped the humor, generosity, and steadiness he carried throughout his life.
Mark built a life centered on deep love for his family, hard work and adventure. He worked as an Automotive Technician. Scarsdale Ford for 34 years. As a lifelong mechanic he could repair almost anything! Mark built more than engines, he built friendships, His coworkers were like family.
If you knew Mark, you knew he never met a stranger. He had an uncanny ability to make anyone feel like an old friend within minutes of meeting them. His larger-than-life personality, endless stories and generous heart left lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. Mark believed a good session around the firepit eating and drinking could solve more problems than people realize.
He was the first person to volunteer his time, lend a helping hand, rescue a stranded friend, fix a broken car. Never asked for recognition, he simply believed that’s what you do.
Mark was an avid traveler visiting all North America. Him and his wife traveled the world together. Visiting Europe, wearing Hawaiian shirts in Ireland and taking cooking classes in Italy. Regularly traveling to the Caribbean. The last five years traveling coast to coast in an RV. With many adventures.
Mark instilled the same thrill of adventure into his daughters and taught them to step outside their comfort zones, embrace life’s challenges and never be afraid to try something new.
His kindness reached far beyond his own family, leaving a legacy of generosity, compassion, loyalty, and service that will continue through all who learned from his example.
One of the greatest gifts Mark leaves behind is remember that life should be lived with curiosity, courage, humor and love. To wear the Hawaiian shirts or funky hats. Take the trip. Try something new. Help someone without being asked. Make people feel welcome and show up for the ones you love.
There are not enough words to describe the gaping hole left in the lives of so many, by the loss of someone whose personality and heart were larger than life.
He is survived by his true love and wife of 32 years, Mary his four daughters, Melissa, Ashley, Samantha and Cynthia and will live forever in their hearts.
He is predeceased by his father, Michael Lupo, mother, Anna Bonserio Lupo, and sister Lisa Lupo Talia.
A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
