Patricia Anne Catherine Collins Overmiller, 85, of Mesa, AZ passed away on March 9, 2009. She was born August 5, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA. Patricia served in the US Navy Waves in Chicago, IL & Jacksonville, FL from August 1943 ? December 1945. She was a member of the American Legion for 31 years, enjoyed watercolor & oil painting, crafts & made gift items for local elementary students at Christmas. Patricia is preceded in death by her Husband: Donald J. Overmiller; Parents: Leo P. and Lucille M. Collins; Brother: Bill Collins; and infant sister. Those who remain to miss her are her four children: Karen Wilson, Donita (Joan) Johnson; & Don Overmiller all of Washington State & Gretchen Hawkins of Mesa, AZ; 9 grandchildren; & 8 great grandchildren. Inurnment will be Friday, April 10th at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., in Phoenix (time to be determined). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Banner Hospice, 1325 N. Fiesta Blvd. Ste 1, Gilbert, AZ 85233.

Gretchen, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Her journey has ended here on earth. 2 Corinthians 5:8 says “to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord.” Her journey in Heaven continues for all of eternity!
