Bonnie Lee Rierson, age 72, passed away May 25, 2015 in Mesa, Arizona.  Born Bonnie Lee Halfhill on February 18, 1943 in Painesville, Ohio, Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Herman Dayton Halfhill; mother, Virginia June Halfhill; sister, Connie Wilson; brothers, James and Thomas Halfhill; grandson, Christopher Rierson; great grandson, Elijah Ray Smith, as well as another great grandson due in August of 2015.

She is survived by her children Virginia “Ginny” Lee (Chris) Wolfe, Mary “Sissy” Lee (Robert) Curtis, Curtis (Sarah) Rierson; and grandchildren, Sean, Annie, Samantha, Charles, Brendan, Caitlin, Bonnie, Samuel, Selena, Leah and Robert, Jr. (Gabby).  In addition, all of her poker/bingo playing, casino hopping friends that she loved so much.

Bonnie retired from the Desert Museum, a job she truly loved.  She loved playing bingo, poker and loved her trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas; where she sure had a knack of winning.

Spending times with her friends and family were truly the most enjoyable times for her.  She was the type of person that made lifelong friends immediately – all of which were considered lucky to have met her.

She will be missed for her big heart, joking nature and her strong will.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.

We all love you and will see you one day in God’s Great Kingdom.

I love and miss you so much already . Mom also has a great grand son Elijah Ray Smith, and another great grand son on the way due in August .

  3. Mary – I continue to think about you and Bonnie each day. She was so blessed to have you and to be with your family for so long. I think about Leah and Gabby’s birthday celebration and how happy and energized she was. Keep that memory with you. It was a fun time and that’s how I’ll remember her! Know that you did make her life better and really enjoyed being with you. Her spirit will always live in you and the children. If there is anything I can do – just let me know. Love you, mom xo

    Oh Bonnie,
I was so sad to hear of your passing. Our families have been entwined for many years. When my mom passed away and after you losing your husband, you both found each other. You made my dad laugh and kept him on his toes. lol. And towards the end for my dad of being on his own, you helped me immensely. And the talks we had……. The dinners with dad at Golden Corral. Just lot’s of fun memories. I’ve been fond of you and loved you for awhile. It breaks my heart for you and your family. May Ginny, Curtis and Mary find comfort in everyone’s thoughts, memories and love for you all. RIP Bon Bon
