Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce that Bambi L. (Underwood) Powell, 69, of Mesa, Arizona passed away November 23, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Bambi was born November 04, 1956 in Brethren, Michigan, the daughter of Everett E. and Barbara J. (Hawkins) Underwood.

Bambi was a 1974 graduate from Brethren High School and completed several years at Traverse City Community College.

Bambi married Randy J. Powell September 2, 1989 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Bambi and Randy celebrated 36 years of marriage this year.

Bambi performed several years of Retail Management. She enjoyed the opportunity of working with young people and to mentoring those less fortunate. Bambi was an amazing wife, sister and mother. Bambi lived a life marked by compassion, strength and devotion to her family. She battled health issues most of her life and was completely exhausted upon her death.

Bambi was preceded in death by their son Christopher E. Powell on 07 June 2015. She will be reunited at heavens gate with her parents, grandparents and several family members.

Remaining to cherish Bambi’s memory are Randy J. Powell (Husband), Teri R. (Underwood) Warda (Sister), Brother in laws; Scott J. Warda, Bill/Beth Powell, Al/Jane Powell, Mike/Tina Powell, Rick Powell and Gail Rayfordberry, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and her good friends.

Bambi will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life in Michigan in the Spring of 2026.

Memorial donations in Bambi’s name may be directed to The American Heart Association.

    Sorry to hear of Bambi’s passing. She was my store manager when I started out at Babbage’s in Battle Creek. She was very passionate about her store and had a great eye for merchandising. Learned a lot from her. Was a very caring person. Was great to see her and Randy again before they moved to Arizona. Let me know when the Celebration of Life will be in Michigan. Interested in attending,
