Obituary

Born on February 11, 1951, Adele Denise Storkson passed away peacefully at 9:38pm on Thursday, September, 1, 2022 at the age of seventy-one.

Preceded in death by: her parents, Del and Gussie Linn and her husband, Sam Lee Storkson.

Lovingly remembered by: her two daughters, Kristen Storkson and Kelda Smith, her son-in-law, Adam Smith, her two grandchildren, Preston and Emeline Smith and her brother, Gary Linn.

Adele graduated from Lafayette High School in Saint Joseph, Missouri and attended MidAmerica Nazarene College in Olathe, Kansas where she met her adoring husband of 43 years, Sam Lee Storkson. They had two beautiful daughters together, Kristen and Kelda. Adele served beside her husband in ministry throughout his tenure. She led children’s ministries and taught Sunday School at every church they pastored. Adele was a woman of many talents and filled various roles throughout her life. She was a children’s quizzing program director and started and directed a Christian preschool in Cherryvale, KS. She was activities director at Anderson Nursing Home, a substitute teacher and started an afterschool tutoring program for at-risk kids in McDonald County, MO. She also serviced on the district children’s council and was influential in starting an annual Missions focused activity day for kids. She was a foster mom to three children, led the Care Card ministry and was church secretary in Mitchell, SD. The work of which she was most proud was in Montgomery City, MO, where she taught marriage and parenting classes. Many parents were sent to her for classes from the family court system because of her dedicated and caring teaching methods. Adele was most fulfilled when she was in the service of others. Adele was well respected by all who knew her.

Services for Adele will be held on:

September 17, 2022 at 10am at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene in Chandler, AZ.

September 24, 2022 at 1pm at Banner Church of the Nazarene in Anderson, Mo.
