Obituary
Andrew Joseph Smitka, born August 11, 1985, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2013.
Andrew had a very fulfilled life of 27 years. He loved being with his friends and family. He worked as a caregiver; he took care of his Great Grandma Lilly until her passing in 2010. Most recently, Andy worked as a server at Chandler Mall Buffalo Wild Wings, where he loved his job and team members (his other family). He loved skateboarding, music, Halo and all social events with family and friends.
Andrew was preceded in death by his “Papa” Rudy Rodarte, his “Uncle” Steve Rodarte and his “Pa” George Atkinson.
Surviving family members are his “Momma” Becky Smitka/Romero, his brothers, Michael Romero and Stephen Romero, his Step-Dad, Mike Romero, his Uncle and Aunt, Robert and Christine Griffith, his “Ma” Georgia Atkinson, Great Aunt Janet, Uncle Dennis, his “Doey” Tillie Rodarte, Aunt Cindy Rodarte, Cousin Summer Rodarte and many Great Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Andrew will be dearly missed by his many friends and family. He was a very caring and loving big brother to Michael and Stephen and son and also best buddy to Becky. We will truely miss Andy’s laughter, jokes, wit and smile. You are my sunshine, thank you for the past 27 years.

I knew Andrew for about a year. He was a great person. We always talked about tattoos, taking trips, and our shared love of writing.
He was always silly and smiling and loved everyone.
You will be missed greatly Andrew.

Please accept our condolences, we just found out about Andrew last night when we went to BWW and asked to be seated at his table. It was then that they told us of his passing. Andrew always waited our table, he knew our order by heart and was such a pleasant and bright young man. He shared stories with us and often spoke of his family. I remember taking him a Christmas present, he gave me a big hug and said Serious! I said merry Christmas sweet boy! Last night having dinner just was not the same! We missed his beautiful smile. We are so sorry for your loss and feel grateful to have known him. Our prayers will be with you all. Many blessings, Craig & Jacqueline Jones
