Obituary

Barbara Doris Angle was born July 19, 1942, and passed peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2023, in
Mesa, Arizona at the age of 81 years old.

She was the youngest of two daughters born to Oliver and
Doris Baker. Born in Canada she moved to the United States in 1954 and proudly became an American Citizen shortly thereafter. Barbara graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1960. She married and gave birth to two sons, Charles Edgar Buckhannon III, and Mathew Emery Buckhannon.

Barbara spent many years as a caregiver and was a full-time Grandma B to all who met her (her favorite job). Barbara was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints and served a mission in Cove Fort, Utah. She loved gardening, hosting parties, dancing and singing. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and eldest son, Charles. She is survived by her sister Dianne; youngest son Mathew; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; countless “adopted” children and grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Daisy.

Barbara was a friend to all and never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed.

Services will be held on Friday, October 13 at 10am at the LDS Ward Building located at 5620 E. Adobe Rd., Mesa, AZ 85205.
