Obituary

Breena Lorane Stevens (nee Hamilton), 44, of Tempe, Arizona, passed away on December 31, 2023. She was born on May 4, 1979, in La Mesa, CA, to Barbara Davis-Garey and Philip Garey, who preceded her in death.

Breena was a loving and devoted wife to Marlee and a cherished mother to nine children: Megan, Sarah, Ami, Ashley, Corey, Caleb, Aubrey, Madison, and Jaxon. She was a loving Meems to thirteen beloved grandchildren whom she adored. Breena also left behind her brother Brent, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many, friends.

Breena had an impressive educational background. She held a Masters of Business Administration, International Business from the University of Phoenix in Albuquerque, NM, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from Baker University in Overland Park, KS, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Breena began her academic journey with an Associates of Science in Business Administration from Neosho County Community College in Ottawa, KS.

Professionally, Breena excelled as a Technical Support Operations and IT Manager. She was passionate about growing her team and helping them grow in their career. She was affectionately known as Boss Lady and was loved by many that worked with her.

Outside of work, Breena had a zest for life and a vibrant personality. She was known for her humor, outgoing nature, generosity, adventurous spirit, kindness, thoughtfulness, and fiery spirit. Breena enjoyed traveling, horseback riding, watching football, going to the movies, and most of all, spending quality time with her family.

In accordance with Breena’s wishes, her ashes will be spread in a private ceremony with her loved ones.
