Obituary

Bruce Everett Larson, 77, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on May 27th, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.  Bruce was born October 24th, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Everett W. Larson and Mildred N. Larson (Nelson).

After the passing of his father, Everett, his mother, Mildred, married Herbert Jacobson, of Montevideo, Minnesota. Bruce was raised in Montevideo and spent his summers working on the Jacobson farm. He graduated from high school in Montevideo, Minnesota in 1963.  He attended North Dakota State University and graduated in 1968 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  He moved to Denver, Colorado in 1973 and where he met his wife, Patricia E. Larson (Grovesteen).  Bruce and Patricia were married on May 25th, 1975.

After several moves, Bruce and Patricia settled in Livonia, Michigan to raise their daughters, Abbey and Lindsey.  In 2005, Bruce and Patricia moved to Gilbert, Arizona because Bruce “did not want to check the weather channel to see if he could play golf!” After retiring from full time employment, Bruce drove a school bus for Gilbert and Higley School Districts.

Bruce is survived by his wife Patricia, daughters Abbey Scarborough (Kerry), and Lindsey Wittekind (Andy), and his 6 grandchildren, Tyler, and Aubrey (Michalos), Tatum and Morgan (Scarborough), Scarlett and Wes (Wittekind), and lastly, but certainly not least, his 2 Boston terriers, Parker and Reggie.
