Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cynthia Marie Soucy, who departed this life on October 19, 2024, in Mesa, Arizona. Born on April 3, 1977, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Cynthia filled the lives of all who knew her with love and vibrant energy. Her journey on this earth was a tapestry woven with laughter, music, and the deep connections she made along the way.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved father, Paul Soucy, whose memory she cherished dearly. She is survived by a family who adored her beyond measure: her Mother Pikul Soucy; her children, Jordan Tufenkjian, Jordan Prado, Tayler Prado, Jayden Prado, and Gilberto Prado; her son-in-law, Dylan Frisell; her sister, Michelle Greyeagle; her niece and nephews, Austin, Andrew, and Angelina Greyeagle; and her cherished grandchildren, Emerson and Evelyn Tufenkjian-Frisell. Each of them carries forward the indelible mark of her love and guidance.
Cynthia’s life was enriched by her work at the Desert Flame, where she found not just employment but a second family. Her dedication and warmth made her a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike, all of whom she embraced with her characteristic, loyalty and charm.
Music was the rhythm of Cynthia’s soul, a passion that allowed her to express emotions that words often could not. She found solace and joy in her favorite shows, moments where she could lose herself and recharge her spirit. Her bold, charismatic, and sometimes stubborn nature made her a force to be reckoned with, and her passionate spirit inspired those around her to live life fully and unapologetically.
Though Cynthia’s physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the strength of her children, and the enduring memories of all who were lucky enough to know her. In the hearts of her loved ones, she remains a guiding light, her influence as strong and unwavering as ever.
A Memorial service will be held to honor Cynthia’s life, in accordance with the family’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly encourages those who wish to express condolences to do so through acts of kindness or by sharing photographs of shared memories spent with Cynthia with all those who loved her.
Cynthia Marie Soucy’s life was a symphony of love, resilience, and unwavering devotion. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, her legacy carried forward in the hearts of all who loved her.
