Obituary
Donald Roy Edwards 83, of Chandler, Arizona, passed away December 23, 2023, from complications of congestive heart failure. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jacque (Woolf) Edwards 72, also of Chandler, who he married in 1997, in Sedona, Arizona.
Don was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to Roy and Irona Edwards on December 2, 1940. He graduated high school at Versailles, Missouri in 1959. In earlier years Don loved to read and by age 7 had an interest in electronics. He was later employed by NCR (National Cash Register) as a technician and worked in several locations around the country until moving back to Missouri in 1966 and going to work for South Western Bell as a traveling manager. He had worked in banking, real estate, was a licensed insurance agent, and a licensed securities broker, owned his own business selling and repairing office equipment and furniture. Later he moved to Texas and worked for Ambassador College maintaining computers and other office machines. Don then moved to Arizona and worked as an independent insurance agent, investment broker, and also did computer repair and consulting. He had attended Worldwide Church of God and then became a member of The Church of God-PKG where he and Jacque both attended.
Don is also survived by his brother Tom Edwards 79, of Jefferson City, Missouri, a son, Chris Edwards 62, of Billings, Missouri and daughter, Cara (Edwards) Weed 61, of Johnstown, Colorado. He leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, step children, in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
