Obituary

Dorothy Jean (Bishop) Chadwick, 88, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 11, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona.

Dorothy was born on May 17, 1930 in Lansing, Michigan. She moved to Arizona in 1976 with her husband Glenn. Dorothy lived a beautiful and full life filled with family, friends, and many activities, including: Church, bingo, and care giving. She LOVED and WAS loved by ALL that knew her. Her hugs were amazing and unforgettable.

Dorothy is survived and loved by her daughters, Judi Chadwick of Cedar Springs, MI, and Ruth (Scott) Comfort of Mesa, Arizona; her brother, Ken (Doris) Bishop of Westfield, MA; sister-in-law, Marcia Bishop of Grand Rapids, MI; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; son, James (Jim); daughters, Sandie Walton and Kathie Lawson; brothers, Floyd and Richard Bishop; sisters, Marian Markosky and Joyce Figard; and grandsons, RJ McBride and CJ Strpko.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00am on May 16, 2019 at Hi-Way Baptist Church, 10505 East Brown Road, Mesa, Arizona 85207. A luncheon will follow the service. A second Celebration of Life service will be held in Michigan at a future date.
