Obituary
With great sadness we announce the passing of Ginger Rae Hunt, who was reunited with our Heavenly Father on March 24th, 2025 in Mesa, Arizona. Born on September 9th, 1973, she was the beloved first child of Johnny and Linda Garrard, and sister to Michelle Lacey, Jodi Oakes, John Michael Garrard, Travis Garrard, and Amber Skabelund. She was married to Colin Hunt in the Mesa Temple, and they shared a beautiful daughter, Kylee Hunt.
Ginger’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, who she cherished beyond measure. She was a devoted sister and loving aunt, always bringing warmth and laughter to those around her. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be forever remembered. She loved and she loved hard. To be known by Ginger was to be loved by her. She touched so many lives with her generous spirit and will be deeply missed by many.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and her legacy of love and devotion will never be forgotten. Ginger is survived by her daughter Kylee Hunt (16), her husband Colin Hunt, her parents Johnny and Linda Garrard, her five siblings, and her nieces and nephews. Though we grieve, we know she is at peace.
A celebration of Ginger’s life will be held on Monday, March 31st at 10am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1100 N Cooper Rd, Gilbert 85233). A family gathering and prayer will take place from 9-9:45 before the service.
