Obituary

Helen Elizabeth Ringstaff, 64, of Frankford passed away, Friday, July 28, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona, due to complications caused by chemotherapy. Helen was born on January 27^th, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania before relocating to Frankford with her late husband, Robert Kenneth (Kenny) Ringstaff. Helen devoted her life to being a nurturer and caretaker of her disabled husband and their sons. Helen joined a friend in Arizona in 2017, where she had settled until her passing, though her heart, in many ways, was in West Virginia.

Helen is survived by, Anthony and Courtney Ringstaff, and their children, Truett and Emmaline, of Fairmont, Robert and LuraAnna Ringstaff of Fairmont, and by her grandchildren, Louis, Christopher, and Victoria Wiley of White Sulphur. Helen was predeceased by her oldest son, Lee Wiley, in 2020, and by her loving husband in 2014.

Helen was a fun loving and free-spirited person who surrounded herself with friends, family, and chosen family.  Her sons describe her as a good cook who always had a positive outlook on life. She was resilient and persevered through her 5-month battle with Cancer, until she was determined Cancer free in June, 2023.  Helen was immensely proud of her family and her children and was known as “Momma” to many.

Helen and Kenny joked that when they died, they wanted to share an urn that would read, “Shake Weekly”. Their wishes and memory will be lovingly honored by their sons.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Asylum Bar & Grill in Lewisburg, WV.
