Obituary

James Lowell Hershey 73, of Mesa, Arizona went home to be with the Lord at 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
Born August 11, 1950, in Pekin, Illinois to Russell Ray and Ethel Faye Hershey. Married Lana Eileen Davis on August 11, 1981, in Pekin, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Robert Hershey and Russell Hershey; and four sisters, Charlotte Daniels, Etta Riviere, Pat Earhart, Diane Towery; and one granddaughter Ashley Hershey.

Surviving are one sister Debra Hocking of Mount Carmel, Illinois, his children James L. Hershey Jr. of Pekin, Illinois, Andrea Avalos of Mesa, Arizona, Ismael Avalos of Mesa, Arizona and four grandchildren, Haley, Abigail, Carmen, and Ismael Jr. and 3 great grandchildren Tyler, Olivia and Lola. He retired after 31 years with Caterpillar Tractor Company. He loved spending time with family and friends. His hobbies included working on all things automotive and any kind of machinery. His memorial service is Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1030 A.M.
