Obituary

Janet Fruik Noel, 89 years-old, died peacefully at home on April 9, 2025, surrounded by her husband Arthur D. Noel, daughter Maryanne, and grand-daughter Alyssa Crain.

Janet was born January 6,1936 to Sigvard and Adele Engstrom in Crystal Falls, MI.

She graduated from Forest Park High School in 1953. In 1954 she married Harry C. Fruik in McHenry IL and together they raised 5 children: Diane, Kristanne, Roxanne, Maryanne and Glenn.

Harry passed away in Phoenix AZ. in 1993.

Janet loved traveling and through the years had visited all but a few of the US States, plus Germany, France, Austria, Jamaica and Mexico where their family spent many memorable vacations.

Janet met her second husband, Arthur D. Noel, in 2005 and they were married in July of 2008 at the American Martyr Catholic Church in Iron Mountain, MI. Art and Janet moved to Apache Junction, AZ. in 2019 on a permanent basis after snow-birding for many years prior.

Janet is survived by her husband Arthur D. Noel, children Kristanne (Joe) Chigro, Roxanne (Ken) Still, Glenn (Gina) Fruik, Maryanne (Charles) Clark, sister Darlene (Alex) Fagotti, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry C. Fruik, Mother and Father (Sig and Adele Engstrom) Daughter Diane Beauvais, son-in-law John Beauvais, Brother George Engstrom, Brother Giles Engstrom, sister-in -laws Barbara Engstrom and second wife Faith (Hall) Engstrom, Sister Beverly Noblet, brother-in-law Edwin Noblet  and many close relatives, friends, and all her cherished pets.

In respect of Janet’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service. The burial will be at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls, MI. A private gathering will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
