Obituary
Jo-Anne Anderson, 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Mesa, Arizona on October 15, 2025. Jo-Anne was a beloved mother, Grammie, great-Grammie, sister, aunt, friend, and wife (“Sweetie”). She is survived by children Julie Ann (Joe) Wilson, Adam (Nadja) Anderson, Britt Anderson, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sisters Michelle (Bob) Angell and Denise (Lennis) Cowell, her brother Kevin (Sheila) Weisbrod, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband and dearest companion, David Anderson.
Raised in her beloved Denver, Colorado, Jo-Anne built a life filled with love, laughter, and creativity. She enjoyed a long and successful professional career as a Director of Operations across multiple industries, known for her attention to detail, strong leadership, and unwavering positive energy.
Later in life, Jo-Anne met her husband David, and together they built a beautiful partnership rooted in joy, mutual respect, and shared adventure for over 30 cherished years together. In retirement, they began a new chapter together in Arizona, where Jo-Anne embraced the desert’s beauty over the past decade.
She loved her family fiercely and welcomed everyone with warmth, humor, and one of her signature big hugs. Music was her constant companion — whether singing along with her favorite songs, joining a choir, tackling a crossword, playing solitaire, or hosting friends and family at home. Her faith was quiet but steady, a gentle source of comfort and gratitude throughout her life. Jo-Anne’s voice, her smile, and her spark will be remembered by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or The American Parkinson Disease Association.
Per Jo-Anne’s wishes, a celebration of her life will be held after the holiday season in 2026.
