Obituary

Judith Kay Hylbert, (Wilske) passed away at the age of 90 on September 1, 2024 in Mesa, AZ where she lived from 2022. “Judy” was born on February 7, 1934 in Alton, IL and was the only child of Julius and Lucille Wilske who preceded her in death.

She graduated from Alton High School in 1952, second in her class. She then attended the University of Colorado for 3 years majoring in interior design. She was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. After college Judy married and later divorced her first husband, the father of her only child, Stacy Elliott. Stacy and her husband John Elliott, of Mesa, AZ survive her mother. Judy is also survived by a granddaughter, Kory Jones and her husband Shawn Jones, along with 2 great grandchildren, Aaron and Aubreyanna Fugazzi. Judy’s second husband Thomas Hylbert, who she married in 1984, died in 1994.

Judy lived and worked mostly as a bookkeeper in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, and California, before she settled in Kerrville, TX. She loved the small town of Kerrville and she loved her family.

There will be no service or memorial for her. Donations can be made to Hospice of the West.
