Linda was born in Little Sioux Iowa to parents Clarence and Ethel Petty. She was raised on a farm in western Iowa and graduated from West Monona High School in Onawa, Iowa and went on to attend NBT Business College.

Linda married Larry Masters in 1964 and the two moved to Omaha, Nebraska where they lived for 47 years and raised two daughters. They later moved to live full-time in Apache Junction, Arizona in 2011.

Caring for others, Linda worked for years with Alzheimer’s patients and volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association, getting as much joy as she gave through her kindness and compassion.

Linda was a creative and caring person. She always had an interest in crafts and art – demonstrating her creativity through a variety of mediums. In her retirement years, she developed a passion for painting landscapes, flowers and wildlife – even teaching painting classes.

Linda passed away at home peacefully with her family at her side. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Larry Masters, daughter and son-in-law LeAnn and Marco Becerril and daughter and son-in-law Laura and Rob Polak. She is also survived her sister and brother-in-law Madelyn Petty and Scott Hill, sister-in law Betty Peterson, sister-in-law Maureen Petty as well as six grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren and numerous cousins.

She will be remembered at a private celebration of life.
