Obituary

Marjorie Helen Corr, 94, of Mesa, AZ, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Class Act Downing Group Home in Mesa, AZ after a long illness with dementia and suffering a stroke on October 13, 2014.

She was born November 21, 1919 in Filley, NE to Benjamin and Helen (Parker) McConnel. She graduated from Beatrice High School in Beatrice, NE and then from Lincoln General Hospital School of Nursing, Lincoln, NE in 1941. On December 14, 1941, Marjorie married Leonard F. Corr. She did hospital, office and industrial nursing through her long nursing career. Being wife, homemaker and a mother brought her the most joy. Marjorie and her husband lived for many years on their farm at Eagle, NE. They enjoyed traveling and their family. They lived at the Nebraska Masonic Home prior to moving to Arizona in 2005.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 66 years, Leonard. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Les R. and Marcia Corr of Eagle, NE; her daughter Marlene Trunkenbolz of Mesa, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

Private family memorial services will be conducted in Lincoln, NE at a later date. Marjorie will be buried with her spouse in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery at that time.
