Obituary

Patricia Rose Cason, affectionately known as Patty to her family, was taken from us way too soon on May 20, 2024. Born on March 29, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of Jim and Anne Roberts and shared a special bond with her grandmother, Rose Vespasiani.

She lived in several places – growing up in North Carolina and spending most of her life in Oregon before retiring to Arizona.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 40 years, John “Tom” Cason, and her loving son, Steve King. She also leaves behind her dear mother-in-law, Joan Cason, her sister-in-law Jeanne Ivens (Wayne), and her uncle, Tito Vespasiani (Louise), sister Vickie D’Alonzo and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Her loyal dog, Brodie, who adored giving her doggy kisses and following her around, misses her greatly.

Patricia’s career as a patent assistant spanned several firms, where she became a cherished mentor and colleague. Her kindness and expertise left a lasting impact on many, especially the lucky lawyers and clients who worked with her.

A passionate cook, Patricia loved to collect and experiment with recipes, never strictly following them but always creating something delicious. Her Saturday mornings were spent enjoying The Kitchen, and on Sundays, she was glued to In The Kitchen With David on QVC, often with Brodie by her side.

Summers found Patricia floating in the pool, listening to her “Pool Playlist” on Amazon, and enjoying a cool drink. Her joy for life and sense of humor made her a delight to be around, and she brought warmth and laughter to all who knew her.

Patricia’s favorite place in the world was Aruba, where she vacationed over 20 times with her husband and son. She had a knack for decorating – a quality she passed on to her son – and loved rearranging her home to achieve just the right look. HomeGoods was her playground, where she often hunted for new treasures to add to her beautifully curated home.

Patricia Rose Cason will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished forever.

Gone from our sight but not from our hearts.

  1. Dave Dessart says:

I pray that in this time of loss,
you’ll feel God’s love much more
and that you’ll find your comfort
in the presence of the Lord
I pray God pours upon you,
    His sweet, amazing grace
and overflow your heart with peace
as you live in His embrace.
