Obituary

Pauline Gertrude Corbett, 96, born September 1, 1912; passed away on June 15, 2009. Pauline was born and raised in Belle River Township, MN. Upon graduation from High School she attended beauty school in Rochester, MN. Married Curtis Shay and moved to Apache Junction, AZ. After Curtis? death, she met and married John Corbett who passed in 1985. During her years in Apache Junction, she was an active member of the Catholic Church and community. Pauline was recognized in 2008 as the longest living member of the American Legion Auxiliary with 51 years of loyal service. Pauline had a love for life that was contagious. Her generosity especially to those less fortunate was endless. Pauline lived an maintained her home in Apache Junction until the age of 94. She moved to Carestone Assisted Living of Tempe in 2006 where she lived out her sunset years. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Martha Muyres; two sisters: Maryann Muyres & Dorothea Zimmel; four brothers: Alphonse, Valentine, August and Paul Muyres; and two husbands: Curtis Shaw and John Corbett. She will be greatly missed by all of her extended family & friends. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM ? 12:30 PM, Thursday, June 18, 2009 with services at 12:30 at A Wise Choice Desert View Chapel, 9702 E. Apache Trail in Mesa. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Mesa
