Rachel’s shining smile will always be with us like the bright stars in the night sky. Her zest for life and desire to help everyone she came in contact with is something that will never be forgotten by those of us who were lucky enough to know her. Prayers go up for her children, grandchildren and family as they work through the pain of losing their mother, grandmother and best friend. Knowing that she is with the Lord and we will see her again gives me great comfort, and I pray that it comforts all of you, too!

Rachel loved going to the Barleens Dinner Show in Apache Junction. She would arrange the whole trip for about 20 of us, usually in November so it was a birthday party. Somehow, she would get two tables right up front, buy the tickets and call each of us with the date and cost. And then smile and laugh the whole evening. She loved being around her friends and we loved her! She is missed terribly already.

It must be so difficult to wrap your head around your mother being gone. She was vibrant, sensitive and a joy to know. Her light is still with you as well as her love. Take care of yourselves as she would want you to do.

Rachel was a compassionate kind-hearted woman who smiled, laughed and loved the Lord and her neighbors. It was a joy to go with Rachel to the Bible Study Fellowship to study the book of John. I had fun playing pickleball with Rachel, too. I admired her love for children who needed a home. Rachel was a foster mother for several children. Her family and friends will truly miss her.
