Obituary

Robert Edward Sienicki, 70, left his physical body on April 29th 2024.
Robert, or “Bob”, as he preferred, was born on March 15th, 1954, in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from Purdue University College of Engineering, where he also held a Minor in Psychology, before embarking on a successful career that took him across the greater United States.

Being an observer of life, Bob found a passion in photography, where he captured and preserved intimate scenes and landscapes from the Intracoastal Waterway to Route 66. Along with his award winning photography, Bob also maintained a spirited love for music, film, and writing.

But most importantly, Bob loved his family; always prioritizing time for his wife, sons, grandson and granddaughter above everything else. He lived by example, integrity, and character. He was a dedicated husband, a loving father, and a kindred spirit to all those who crossed his path. He will be deeply missed.

Bob is survived by his wife, Myrna Sienicki; his children, A.J. Aurit and Michael Sienicki; grandchildren, Avery Aurit and Evelyn Powers; AJ’s fiancé, Katie Powers; Michael’s girlfriend, Rachael McKenzie; sister, Deborah Schiffer; and a large extended family.

“For me there is only the traveling on paths that have heart, on any path that may have heart, and the only worthwhile challenge is to traverse its full length – – and there I travel, looking, looking breathlessly.” – Carlos Castaneda

A celebration of life service will be held, but an official date is pending. Once the date has been finalized communication will be sent to family members and loved ones to attend. My condolences on your loss. I enjoyed Bob’s company for the few years he worked with me in the IT Department at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and Blind (ASDB). I enjoyed the conversations of his achievements and the things he wanted to accomplish. He always had great things to say about everyone and wealth of knowledge. I will miss him dearly.

  2. My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Bob was an exceptional storyteller, a skilled photographer, and a knowledgeable computer expert. The years we shared working together at the Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind will forever be etched in our memories. Bob’s organization, his serene demeanor, and his unwavering commitment to improving our environment through his expertise will always be cherished. Our conversations about our mutual love for volleyball were a highlight, and his absence will be deeply felt.
