Obituary
Robert Joseph Eveslage, also known as Bobby Jo, was 91 when he passed away on January 31, 2026 in Apache Junction, Arizona. Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on July 28, 1934, to Bernard and Helen (Lena) Eveslage, he was preceded in death by them, an infant brother Glen, his brother, David, sisters, Donna Morey and Jean Pearson, brothers-in-law Robert Morey, Patrick Lynch, Delroy Repulski, and his partner of 30 years, Connie Dziubinski.
Bob was a merchant marine on the iron ore ships of the Great Lakes, and married Jeanne Kirscht in 1956. He founded Granite City Oil, managed the Hub Supper Club, opened the Bavarian Supper Club with a German themed dinner show, and Bricky’s, a speakeasy with beer and a bottle club. He took a burned out downtown bar and created the All American Lounge in 1976. He managed the Carriage Supper Club with live entertainment like Sherwin Linton and the Cotton Kings. He ran Woodland Lodge, Cross Country Cafe & Catering and started Bobby Jo’s Beef Burgers at county fairs throughout central Minnesota. In 1980, after his divorce he moved to Little Falls, MN managing The Oaks Supper Club. He also owned the Dairy Treat in Richmond, MN. and Louie’s Pizza in St. Joe, MN. When he retired from the restaurant business he drove charter bus, then school bus for Little Falls Schools.
He is survived by his ex-wife Jeanne, his sisters Patty Lynch and Judy Repulski, brother-in-law Richard Pearson, sons Michael (Jackie),Thomas (Sam), daughter Joan Ribich (Mike), son Don (Cindy), eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
He was a happy soul who always brought laughter to those around him. He was self taught and an entrepreneur. He loved being on the water, snowmobiling, golfing, hunting, scuba diving and he taught himself to play the guitar. Above all, his family remembers his singalongs- he played and sang to the very end. A celebration of life and burial will be held in Sauk Rapids, MN at a later date.
