On Wednesday, June 1st 2022, Robert Lee Edwards (Bob, Bobby, Bobby Pin, Bobbo) passed away at the age of 65. Bob was a devoted and loving son, brother, husband, dad, pawpaw, great-pawpaw, uncle, and friend to an untold number of special people.

Bob was born on September 29th 1956 in Pasadena, TX to William Robert Edwards and Margaret Edwards Huffman. Bob graduated from South Houston High School in 1975 and promptly joined the US Navy, where he spent 20+ years honorably serving our country before retiring in 1995. While in the US Navy, Bob met, fell in love with, and married the woman of his dreams (his soulmate), Cora Edwards. After retirement from the US Navy, Bob stepped into a second career with Intel, spending the next 26yrs fostering and buildings relationships that would last

the rest of his life.

Bob loved to bowl, golf, and go fishing with buddies. He also really enjoyed trips on his motorcycle and especially loved spending quality time with his family. Bob was always the first to step up to help a friend or family member in need, always showing love and patience in any situation. Never quick to rush to judgement and always thoughtful in his response to everyone he spoke with, Bob truly defined what a good human should look like.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Edwards, his father William Robert Edwards, and his niece Laurie Ann Beezley Perry. He is survived by his mother Margaret Edwards Huffman; children, Barry Britt, James Britt and wife Pua, Brandy Machowski and her husband David; grandchildren, Breeanna, Victoria, Coralee, Rebekah, Elijah, Noah, Jace, JJ, Brooke, and Leia; great-grandchild, Mila; sister, Mary Elaine Edwards; nephew, James Beezley; great nieces & nephews, Cheyenne West, Kolby Adams, Braelin Hebert, Caleb Lewis, Ellyn Joy Lewis, Benji Lewis; special friends Debi Machen.

A celebration of life in remembrance of Bob will be held from 10am-11:30am on Monday, June 13th at A Wise Choice Cremation & Funeral Services (9702 E Apache Trl, Mesa, AZ 85207). This will be immediately followed by an escorted precession to the National Memorial Cemetery (23029 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ 85024) where he will be honored with a 21-gun salute and flag-folding ceremony at 1pm, before being laid to rest.
