Obituary

Robin Mary Vernon 4/13/1961-1/16/2022

Robin passed away on 1/16/22, peacefully in her home surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Robin is survived by her Daughter Jessie Vernon and two grandchildren Daniel and Beau Rustin, her  parents Robert and Shirley Behrens of Bellevue Iowa, and sisters Lorie Ward and Karry Banowetz,

Robin spent her childhood in Preston Iowa and after graduating highschool  became a mother to her only daughter Jessie.  As a single mother she was determined to live a good life, took pride in being independent and had a passion for Womens equality and gay rights.  Always up for an adventure she loved to travel and called home to Iowa, South Carolina, California and Florida before finally settling in Gilbert Arizona. She lived life to the fullest,  She loved music, concerts, playing pool, the beach, dancing, collecting  pottery, going to arts festivals, WNBA games and laughing with friends.  You could often find her by the pool or ocean.  she loved palm trees cocktails and sunshine.

She spent her career in the banking industry  as a mortgage loan specialist. She worked as a loan officer, loan  processor and  mortgage underwriter.  At her request, there will be no funeral by her immediate family. She wished to be remembered and acknowledged as a hard working, loving mother, loyal friend and  respected colleague. Farewell to a great woman.

Somewhere in my heart beneath all the pain,
theres a smile I will wear when I hear your name.

I call her Mom, my best friend, my unconditional love.

I know she had to leave to be free from all the pain.

and nothing will ever be the same.

Now shes an angel, to watch me from above.
To guide me and advise me and know that I’m still loved.

I have so many  memories of her throughout the years

Now shes gone and I can’t hold back the tears.
The day she left it broke my heart in two.

No one could ever replace her, for this I surely knew

And now the time has come I have to say farewell.

I want to thank  you mom for raising me so well.

For your constant support and endless love.

I’ll remember all you’ve taught me, and make you proud of me.

I had the privilege of working with Robin at Wells Fargo many years ago. She was a wonderful gift to the mortgage industry and to her coworkers. Her family was her world. Rest In Peace dear lady, you did really good deeds in the time you were here and will look for your bright light each night in our sky.
