Obituary

With heavy hearts but immense gratitude for her beautiful life, we announce the passing of Susan Frost Palmer, who peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on March 19, 2025, in Mesa, Arizona. While we deeply mourn, we find comfort knowing she is now free—running, jumping, and embracing heaven in a perfect body no longer burdened by Parkinson’s.

Born on December 20, 1951, in Mesa, Arizona, Susan was the beloved oldest child of Melvin and Dorothy Frost and cherished sister to Luisa Harper (Bill), Melvin Frost (Heather), Robert Frost (Claudia), Rita Clair (Mark), and Paul Frost (Denise). She was the devoted wife of Larkin Palmer for 51 years, building a life rich in love, faith, and family. Together, they raised six children: Nicki Smithson (Taft), Preston Palmer (Ashley), Maree Seiter (Wes), Wes Palmer (Megan), Kate Bowers (Clint), and Benjamin Palmer (Haley). Her legacy lives on through her 24 treasured grandchildren and 1 ½ great-grandchildren.

Susan radiated strength, kindness, and unwavering faith. She found beauty in EVERYTHING and embraced her passions—nature, reading, gardening, collecting rocks, painting, and creating art. Even after her Parkinson’s diagnosis, she painted not only canvases but a legacy of resilience and joy. A gifted healer, she shared her love for people, herbs, natural remedies, and massage therapy, bringing comfort to many. Above all, she loved Jesus and sought daily to grow in His light.

Despite 25 years with Parkinson’s, Susan never complained—she met every challenge with spunk, sass, and an unshakable spirit. Her warm embrace and soft, loving hugs were unmatched, and she had room in her heart for everyone. Though we grieve, we rejoice knowing she is whole again—climbing trees and wrapped in the arms of her Savior.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (11121 E Ray Rd, Mesa 85212). Family gathering and Prayer from 9:30am-10:15am. Luncheon for beloved family and friends following service, where we will share stories, laughter, and love—just as she would have wanted. 2. Susan was a great inspiration to those who knew her. When I first met Susan I thought that she was so quiet, but as I got to know her a bit I found that her silence was knowledge and love from our Heavenly Father. She was a great example to all. Larkin, you and your family are in my prayers. Susan will be missed!
