December 18, 1957 - February 08, 2023

Susan Louise (Scott) Williams

Born December 18th, 1957, and stepped into Glory on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023. Susan was the second child, first daughter to Gene and Kitty Scott in Phoenix Arizona. Susan spent her first years on the West side of town at 31st Ave and Berridge Lane moving to the East side on Monte Vista early in grade school years where she met many of her lifelong friends at Griffith Elementary, and graduated from East Phoenix High School, Class of ‘75.

Dan and Sue were married December 20th, 1975, Susan was 18 years and 2 days old! Both families couldn’t have been happier to include their new In-Law. Susan is survived by Dan, her husband of 47 years, four children, Dan Jr. (Christy), Doug (Erin), Matthew, Sarah (Alex). These fantastic kids have brought six super grandchildren into their lives, Dano, Moses, Zoey, Alison, Sadie, and Dylan. She is preceded in death by Karen, a daughter, both of her parents, her younger brother Stewart, and older brother Sam.

Susan chose Love in everything she did. She Loved her Lord and Savior, serving Him faithfully for nearly 60 years. She loved her family, her parents, siblings, husband, children, grandchildren and beyond. She loved her friends, neighbors, and co-workers. If Susan knew you, she loved you. And if you hadn’t met her yet, she had already prepared to love you too.

Susan served in schools, hospitals and homes with the gift of love that God our Father filled her with as a nurse, caring for the youngest to oldest, to people at the point of their need, and did so with the gentlest of spirits, and the softest of touch.

Susan not only chose love, but she was loved. We will gather to celebrate Susan this coming Saturday, February 18th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Red Mountain Community Church located at 6101 E. Virginia St. Mesa, AZ 85215.

  2. Our prayers and thoughts are will you in this challenging time.

  3. Susan was with her dad the last days of his life. Loved him, cared for him. In the final days she was with my sister, Louise, praying with her and singing to her. In the final hour of my sister, Juanice, she was on the phone with me…..praying for me, guiding me and praying for Juanice. She guided Vicky in the care of her mother, Virginia. All her life, this is what Susan did. She cared for others. Hers was a life of service. ALL of us mourn the loss of our family’s ANGEL.

    No one
No one loved me, you, her neighbor, a stranger better than Sue. Her smile healed more than boo boos on knees and elbows, it unified families, broke addictions, mended friendships, and planted love. My big Sister, my Friend, my confidant, my example. Thank you Father for Susan.
