Timothy John Gabik

Obituary

Timothy John Gabik was called to Heaven to join his beloved parents Raymond and Rita (Mikalofsky) Gabik and Brother Ray Joseph, on Wednesday October 30th, 2019 at the age of 57. He is survived by his Loving Wife Christine . Devoted Father to Amanda Gabik, Stepchildren Kayla and Kyle Lambert and Grandfather to Bentley Parker. Loving Brother to Rita Mary (Paul) Boese, Nancy (Mark) Franszczak, and Peter (Laurie) Gabik. Cherished Uncle to John Boese, Jenny (Allen) Eagle, Nick (Amy) Gabik, and Jacob Gabik. Further survived by other relatives and many great friends.

Tim had a great sense of humor, and always wanted to make others laugh. He fulfilled his commitment to his country and retired from the Army Reserves. His passion for driving allowed him 37 years of driving a Semi, in addition to his true love of riding his Harley Davidson. Tim was extremely grateful for the gift of life he was given by Christ, and his faith allowed the willingness and courage to persevere the long four-year battle of cancer.

The Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Rd, Mesa, Arizona 85213 with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of the Valley at hov.org – 602-530-6992, or The Wounded Warrior Project at Woundedwarriorproject.org

A private family committal service with military honors is also scheduled for Friday November 8, 2019 at the Arizona National Veteran Cemetery.

Although Tim and I had just met up and became friends a short time ago. We did get a chance to enjoy a fishing trip together and a few get togethers along with Christine. Truly good people you will be missed Tim.

I have two friends, all others being associates, Tim was one of my friends. Over the years we have shared so many great times, a few not so great times, but never any bad times together. If you knew Tim at all, you know that he had a open heart and would be there anytime anyone needed any kind of help he could offer, and he did. I myself, along with my wife and kids are going to miss him dearly, he was always good for a joke or two. We knew this day was coming and we have talked about this over the last four years, but when it comes, you realize how much you’re going to miss him. We have been to Sturgis, Daytona, the MI Rendezvous all multiple times together, as well as many, many miles just living life. I guess our next ride together will be down the Golden Road in Heaven, He will always be in my heart, so in a way he’s still here. He did it the right way, found Christine, and was happy. Love you brother, say bye>

    1. Mark,
You’re right. Hold Tim’s memories close in your heart and you will always be able to hear his laughter. RIP Tim.
