Wayne Hansen, age 90, passed away in Mesa, AZ on January 5, 2022. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on July 31, 1931 to Reuben and Helen Hansen. He grew up with his brothers Ralph and Doug in Westfield, NJ. After high school, Wayne attended Dartmouth College and graduated in 1953. He later earned an MBA from New York University. After graduating from college, Wayne returned to Westfield and started a job on Wall Street. In summer 1954, he married the love of his life Kay Dodge. Wayne and Kay lived in Westfield for many years, raising their three children Julie, Robert and Kim. Wayne was an excellent golfer and had the opportunity to play at many top courses including Augusta National. He introduced his family to skiing and they spent many memorable vacations at their ski cabin in Vermont. Wayne spent most of his career as an executive at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City. In the 1980s, he moved to Evergreen, CO and then eventually retired in Arizona. In retirement he enjoyed golf, woodworking and travel. He was happy to see his family together to celebrate his 90th birthday in July. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Kay, and also by his brothers Ralph and Doug. He is survived by children Julie Hansen, Robert Hansen and Kim Williams and grandchildren Deanna and Sara. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
