Obituary
Wendy June Davis, 47, was called home by Heavenly Father on October 29th, 2020 after a lifelong battle with asthma and a severe lung disease. Wendy was born on June 29th, 1973 in Las Vegas, Nevada. As a little girl, Wendy competed on the swim team and played baseball at Luke Air Force Base later graduating from Ironwood High School and proudly becoming a licensed phlebotomist.
Preceded in death by her beloved son Travis and the love of her life BJ. Wendy is survived by her children Hannah Steinbach and Brian Davis; her parents, Roger Sr. and Virginia Steinbach; brother, Roger Jr. and his wife Dena, their children Vanessa, Zach, Roger III and Danielle; her aunts, Cynthia Smith, Jean Raabe, Donna Steinbach; her uncle Bill Spendlove and his wife Cathy; numerous cousins and her very best friend of 17 years, Mark Anderson.
Wendy loved her Dachshund puppies and could be found sitting outside to watch the hummingbirds or laying by the pool in her straw hat. She had a passion for photography, working for a time at Olan Mills, Wendy was incredibly photogenic and always got a kick out of selfies. She had a love for life, fun, and had a huge heart. She had been participating in 5K’s with her mom, daughter, niece, and sister-in-law for the past 2 years and was excited to continue competing in many more. She was looking forward to the holidays, specifically Halloween, to spend time baking and canning with family as well as continuing to learn how to sew. Her family is going to miss her beautiful smile, kind hugs and bubbly personality.
The family will be holding a viewing at A Wise Choice, 9702 E. Apache Trail Mesa, AZ, on Friday, November 6th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Friends and family will be invited for a celebration of Wendy’s life that will be held at a later date.

Wendy, we still had so many 5ks to finish. I promise we will finish them in your honor. Your body is healed and you can breathe again. We know you will be there with us each mile we walk. Danielle wore of your hair clips to school the other day. She looked so pretty and felt so special. She said she wasn’t done hanging out with you, she wanted more time. She misses you so much already, we all do, especially your Mom. I can only imagine the reunion you had with Travis and BJ when you arrived to Heaven. I know that was a moment you longed for. I will miss hearing you call your brother George or other choice names when we walked into the house. I promise to always take care of our family and I know you will always be watching over us. We will forever love and miss you.

My sweet baby girl I still can’t believe you’re not here with me, we had so many plans. I just love and miss you so much, you had such a beautiful smile and a kind heart. I loved that you could be silly and funny and the house just feels so empty now. When you left you took a big part of my heart with you so now I have a large hole there. I still don’t understand why you had to go now, you were so young. I will always love you and miss you everyday.
