Obituary

Alta “Dolly” Coleman, aged 71, went on to greet her lord, Aug. 19th 2021 in the comfort of her home in Mesa Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents Elaine & Albert Griffin, as well as her loving husband Howard Coleman.

Dolly earned her nursing degree from M.C.C in ‘84, then went on to receive a double Masters in Business & Healthcare Administrations in 2005. Before retiring at the youthful age of 60. She is remembered by her 4 children, Dino, Dusty, Dawn and Dion Coleman, her grandchildren Desire Coleman, Kenneth “DJ” Coleman II , David Coleman, Rebecca Coleman(Brandon), Anthony Coleman, Brandi Coleman, Kris Coleman(Haley), Katie Coleman, Jordynn “JJ” Showers, Kirra “KK” Showers and Deanae “NaeNae” Coleman. Dolly is most often remembered not only for her boundless generosity, nor her insurmountable love for her family and children, but for the particular brand of humor she would bring to the table. Not a fan of “vulgar” or tasteless arts, she entertained with a razor-sharp wit, and an accent specific to Dolly. May we hold to our hearts forever, the echo of her humming, and her infatuation with penguins.

Services will be held on, Thursday September 2, 2021 at 10:00 am, at All Saints Catholic Church in Mesa at 1534 N Recker Rd, Mesa, AZ 85205 followed by a luncheon hosted by the family at Dolly’s home in Mesa at 1352 N Diane Cir Mesa AZ 85203.
