Obituary

Henry Bollweg, III, 79, passed away on March 24, 2015 in Apache Junction, AZ.  He was born in 1935 in Douglas, AZ.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Brooke Bollweg and Henry Bollweg, Jr.

He graduated from high school in Douglas, AZ.  He immediately joined the Navy, where he served as a signalman from 1954 to 1957.

He received a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, and earned a Master of Education at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

After college, he taught in Illinois for two years, two years in Ganado, AZ, two years in Bishop, CA and thirty years in Bisbee, AZ.  Hank enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and home repair projects.

Hank is survived by his son, Henry Bollweg, IV, and his grandson, Jonathan Henry Bollweg.

He watched the building and progress Cochise College in Douglas, AZ with interest and pride.  Memorial donations are gratefully accepted for a scholarship fund that is being organized for Cochise College.  Any donations may be sent to Henry Bollweg, 8931 E. Civano Dr., Gold Canyon, AZ 85118.

Excellent teacher and one who clearly understood that by making it fun he could reach far more students in a lasting and impactful way than through traditional means.
